I am very foruntate that these giants live a short bicyle ride from my home, so I am able to check often to see them during their entire life cycle, at sunrise and sunset often in the same day. A Fun fact, there is a distinct popping sound when the flowers open in the morning because of the airtight seal being broken with significant force. They actually trap bees overnight in their tightly closed blooms which is a clever way to ensure maximum pollination before releasing the well rested, pollen covered bees early in the morning
