Tokyo Tower was discovered completely by chance as I kept catching glimpses of it in the reflections of nearby buildings while walking a nearbye waterway. After wandering through alleys and parks for over 20 minutes, I finally found the perfect angle..
Dimensions, Pricing, and Print Information coming soon. This is a new Panorama stitched from two Medium format photos with immense resolution. This hidden hillside is one of my favorite views of the Yokohama skyline!
The detail of this medium format image is beyond imagination until you see it printed large, with people far in the background clearly detailed. There is an immense feeling of 3D depth which will draw in any viewer with awe.
Shooting with an extremely wide Irix 15mm lens which equates to 12mm on the medium format sensor of my Fujifilm Camera, I was able to pull this massive yet intimate scene into frame as the setting sun illuminates a lone man walking home next to the famous Shinjuku Cocoon tower.
A composition of golden light trails hinting at the shape of a large passing leisure cruise boat in Yokohama harbor, with blue crowned high rise buildings standing tall in dark contrast.
This image was a long exposure on an especially cold night. The sea was very calm allowing for this longer than usual exposure while the boats in the foreground remained still enough to capture every detail.
There's never a way to truly show what 100 million pixels looks like online, sufficite to say this image is lost in translation, and really has to be seen to appreciated. Every light trail from the traveling on this raised highway through the heart of Yokohama's industrial district is like a crystal clear rail of light and all throughout the scene, windows into worlds of industry and Japan life. The factories in the foreground and background giving a strong sense of three dimensional impact, all with a remarkable purple haze wrapping the scene with a sense of velvety depth.
A long exposure image of shimmering golden light trails of a large late night leisure cruise boat crossing Yohohama bay between Minato Mirai and Higashi Kanagawa, with complementary golden lit high rise apartment buildings across the bay.
Not quite a cityscape, but a preview of a new gallery to come. An absolutely stunning image captured from my window in 2024. Printed with more than 100 million pixels of detail, this immensely vibrant eruption of color will light up any space with the color and light of one of Japans most ancient traditions - Fireworks

I spend allot of time walking through neighborhoods and just naturally am curious about what I can see from the top of hills, along the waters edge. There are some viewpoints I revisit, particularly if I can find a peaceful place to capture the scenery of Japan city life from afar, but much of what I capture is presented to me, not sought out. In a way I like this separation of my preferred relaxed pace cityscapes, and those where I am suddenly testing my patience and nerves, standing in a busy intersection to get the shot. A bit of Ying and Yang in the cities of Japan
