The size and beauty of these Giant Lotus Flower Blooms cannot be overstated. With the largest buds the size of a childs head, and full blooms as much as 12 inches accross and towering at times 9 feet in the air. The lily pads that act as solar panels to feed these magestic giants are themselves in fact massive floating islands of deep rich green, which just so happens to contrast the beautiful pastel pinks perfectly. I am very foruntate that these giants live a short bicyle ride from my home, so I am able to check often for peak blooms, and at sunrise and sunset often in the same day. Fun fact, there is a distinct popping sound when the flowers open because of the force and airtight seal being broken. They also trap bees overnight in their tightly closed blooms to ensure maximum pollination before releasing the well rested bees in the morning
