私は、Hahnemühle、Canson, ilford、Fujifilm archival などの高品質紙を使用した中判壁掛けプリントを専門とする写真アーティストです。これらの紙と中判を組み合わせると、標準の写真プリントよりもはるかに高い解像度が得られます。どのサイズで印刷しても素晴らしい見栄えですが、より大きなサイズで印刷すると、どんな空間も驚くほどのディテールで埋め尽くすことができます。
私はアメリカ・ワシントン州シアトル出身の写真家で、東京西部に14年以上住んでいます。日本には東日本大震災からわずか10日後に入国し、それ以来カメラを手にしています。自然を愛する者として、主に風景や自然の写真を撮影していますが、都市景観、建築、ストリートフォトグラフィー、さらには成人式や七五三のための日本伝統的なポートレート撮影も行っています。

Perfect-Turn-on-the-Edge-of-a-Typhoon Limited Edition 1/50
Available in two Japanese Washi Paper sizes. This is a very limited production run with just 5 pieces in each size available for a total of 10 prints. Prints will be signed and numbered on a thin white border. This hand made in Japan Washi paper is my absolute favoreite printing medium. Similar in sheen to lustre, it has a texture similar to very fine grain sandstone but with an extremly fine crazed or stained glass like pattern. This washi is also very durable, rated in centuries instead of decade. You can physically touch the prints (everyone in Japan does) and it's a very satisfying tactile texture to feel. This striking image captures a surfer expertly navigating a turbulent wave, sending up a dramatic circular spray at the peak of his turn. With a typhoon brewing offshore, the chaotic ocean creates an intense backdrop for this moment along Japan’s coastline. Only a few brave surfers ventured out in these conditions, reflecting the deep connection the Japanese culture has with the sea. This photograph encapsulates the raw energy and excitement of surfing, making it a perfect addition for collectors and art lovers who appreciate the power of nature in action.
