私は、Hahnemühle、Canson, ilford、Fujifilm archival などの高品質紙を使用した中判壁掛けプリントを専門とする写真アーティストです。これらの紙と中判を組み合わせると、標準の写真プリントよりもはるかに高い解像度が得られます。どのサイズで印刷しても素晴らしい見栄えですが、より大きなサイズで印刷すると、どんな空間も驚くほどのディテールで埋め尽くすことができます。
私はアメリカ・ワシントン州シアトル出身の写真家で、東京西部に14年以上住んでいます。日本には東日本大震災からわずか10日後に入国し、それ以来カメラを手にしています。自然を愛する者として、主に風景や自然の写真を撮影していますが、都市景観、建築、ストリートフォトグラフィー、さらには成人式や七五三のための日本伝統的なポートレート撮影も行っています。

Limited Edition 1/50- First-Light-2022-Mt-Fuji-Japan-Winter-surfers-celebrating-the-new-year-in-the-ocean-epic-scenery-sea-purple-haze
This very special moment was captured during the very first light fall on the peak of Mt Fuji from a cliff side near the Enoshima area. I walked to this vantage point around 3am after celebrating the peaceful lighting of candles throughout the night by the monks at a temple in Kamakura. I raised the shadows in this image to show the surfers on the face of the water and expose the bridge to Enoshima island as the first light on Mt Fuji's snow covered cap does not equate to a lit sea due to the light reaching Fuji's peak a good 20 minutes before reaching sea level. Every year in Japan surfers and windsurfers can be seen in the very cold water well before first light waiting to greet the new year from their spiritual home that is the sea of Japan.
