私は、Hahnemühle、Canson, ilford、Fujifilm archival などの高品質紙を使用した中判壁掛けプリントを専門とする写真アーティストです。これらの紙と中判を組み合わせると、標準の写真プリントよりもはるかに高い解像度が得られます。どのサイズで印刷しても素晴らしい見栄えですが、より大きなサイズで印刷すると、どんな空間も驚くほどのディテールで埋め尽くすことができます。
私はアメリカ・ワシントン州シアトル出身の写真家で、東京西部に14年以上住んでいます。日本には東日本大震災からわずか10日後に入国し、それ以来カメラを手にしています。自然を愛する者として、主に風景や自然の写真を撮影していますが、都市景観、建築、ストリートフォトグラフィー、さらには成人式や七五三のための日本伝統的なポートレート撮影も行っています。

Tokyo-Tower-Front-and-Center - Limited edition
This is a truly unique limited edition run of 20 prints on Fujifilm Crystal Archive paper, available in only two sizes, capturing the essence of Wabi-Sabi. The view of Tokyo Tower was discovered completely by accident one evening as I kept catching glimpses of it in the reflections of nearby buildings. After wandering through alleys and parks for over 20 minutes, I finally found the perfect street. Just as I set up my camera, it began to rain, and the droplets on my lens created a beautiful, unintended effect, stretching the lights in the lower part of the frame. Combined with the long exposure technique I was using, the result was something entirely unplanned but visually stunning. However, I wasn’t ready to present the image until I gave it special treatment to manage the highlights and maintain balanced contrast. Now, I’m very happy to finally share this image, which has grown to be one of my most cherished and unique depictions of Tokyo Tower.
