This Great Egret visits this Giant Lotus pond every year before the Lotus Flowers arrive as the spring rains fill it and many small fish are easy to catch. One of my favorite subjects but each year my shooting time is limited as not only do the lotus flowers fill up this space, but many tourists are afoot, and the only way for me to get this shot is to time it when people are not there, so I can lay on the very narrow bridge which is nearly at waters level. Other camera men and women often find me in strange positions around this pond and there are more photos than I can count floating around social media of me looking a bit silly. Anything for the shot, and seriously one of my all time favorites!
